In my school days, what most interested me was painting, in particular, water color painting. My avid interest in photography likely stems from this childhood love! The first camera that I bought, probably in 2010, was a Nikon P80. It is a "point and shoot" camera with the added feature of manual controls. Having used this on the manual mode for a couple of years, I finally graduated to a mid-level Canon DSLR, the Canon EOS Rebel T3i.
I recently added the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens to my arsenal. It is simply a wonder lens and has vastly increased my artistic freedom! Hoping to get the new Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM pancake lens.
I primarily use Adobe Lightroom for retouching RAW files. I am also quite familiar with Adobe Photoshop and GIMP (a wonderful alternative for Linux users).
